  • James Smith Cree Nation 370 is comprised of three separate Nations that were wrongly amalgamated by Canada. Those three are James Smith Cree Nation 100, Peter Chapman First Nation and Chakastaypasin First Nation. Together, the three bands, known as "James Smith Cree Nation 370, " are currently funded by Canada as a collective, yet they are distinct Nations with separate elected leadership and different priorities. We will be meeting with Parliamentarians, officials and senior staff to advance ongoing discussions with respect to James Smith's Cree Nation 370's desire to separate the three Nations that are treated as a collective by Canada. We are working to advance James Smith Cree Nation 370's de-amalgamation goals and self-determination priorities.
