We are asking for the creation of partially refundable tax credit to apply to community capital tools (i.e. community bonds, co-operatives shares etc.). We do this work representing the Canadian Coalition for Community Capital, a grassroots network of various organizations in our sector that is 100% funded by Tapestry. Our employee, Suzanne Faiza, is the Coalition Coordinator.

We (exclusively as Tapestry) are asking for the inclusion of community capital into the financing frameworks of Build Canada Homes -- this means enabling tools like community bonds to stack alongside Build Canada Homes' financing to help scale non-market housing providers.
